5112 to Move?

Apparently Bathurst City Council has now bitten the bullet and informed the
Central West Railway that they will be at East Fork 7.00am Tuesday 27th Oct
to remove the engine. Rumour has it that it will be removed by  Silverton
loco's & towed to Orange Station for craning onto a low loader for transport
to Lithgow State Mine Museum. One wonders how the State Mine will fair if
Orange could not achieve the restoration. State Mine does not have either
the expertise,man power, specialised tools & equipment or even servicing
pits. Is this a case for Bathurst Council of Out of the frying pan & into
the fire?
