Re: Sarina cane railway smash

In the cane season the amount of traffic on the cane lines is very suprising. I
was up in Queensland during July for the BB18 1/4 trip to Cairns and when I was in
Mackay I photographed quite a few cane trains on the Farleigh Sugar Mill lines. Cane
trains passed our location every 20 minutes. At Ingham we stopped for 20 minutes to
service the loco and there is a cane line just south of the platform. Three very
long trains passed us in the 20 minutes we stopped there. The 2' cane lines are
almost like a mainline and the amount of traffic is amazing.
