Box Hill is in that context a good grade separation but in fact is a disaster as far
as passenger convenience and modal transfer is concerned. The ideal modal transfer
station would consist of a large island platform with a bus terminal built in the
middle of it and ramps at either end for the buses to arrive and depart on. Then
passengers could make quick and easy connections between transport modes.

Canterbury is similar to Box Hill, i.e. road and railway roughly on original
alignment.
