Melbourne Docklands Tramway Construction

Construction of Melbourne's Docklands tramway is continuing although in a
scattered sort of way.  The first section is the Westward extension of the
Flinders Street line - this has been connected to the network for some time now,
but no overhead.  There is extra track in place off-road just to the North of
Flinders Street a bit further West of the end of on-street track.  Evidently
there will be a swerve in the track to take it to this alignment.  Track has
also been laid across the new La-trobe street bridge over Spencer Street yards
at the north end of the project.  It has not been extended into La Trobe street
proper nor connected to the network proper yet.  No North-South track along
Footscray Road (sorry - Docklands Boo-lay-vard) is yet in evidence.
