Penrith is marginally better. Do what I plan to do - drive to Seven Hills
and park there. You will need to be early though.

You also get off-peak fares 24/7 for the duration - still cheaper to buy a
weekly though.

No such thing. A weekly at normal fare is cheaper than 5 off-peaks.
