>From what I have read it appears that the light rail was supposed to branch
off just past the end of the Lilyfield extension and wend its way up to the
road parallel to the railway just past Summer Hill station, thence over the
bridge where the Hume Highway crosses the rail lines at Ashfield. It then
ducked down the behind Ashfield High School ending up in the street at
Ashfield stations where trams previously terminated. There is a proposal for
a branch down to Norton Street Leichhardt.
