Re: R711's Trip to Bendigo



    The loco looked better before they put that name plate on the side
of the cab. Why couldn't they have used a smaller and flatter brass
plaque if they have to name it? It also looks a bit odd with the
numberplate off centre and the name plate in the centre.

    R711 certainly looked and sounded impressive as it reached the top
of the 1 in 50 just out of Sunbury. <g!> One guy said that WCR had made
a monster and it certainly was an appropriate comment. I could hear R711
all the way from Sunbury! :-)
