I have done a little research on the Stawell to Grampians line in the past,
and this is the first reference that I have heard about a Fyans Creek to
Hall Gap line.  I suspect that the land was reserved but construction never
took place.

If anyone knows any more I would love to hear from them in order to update
my notes on this branch.
