Nunawading Works

Few things to note.
The down Sleeper train was halled by P20 and T396 in push-pull
in arrived at Blackburn 7 minutes late and sat in platform 3
for about 45 minutes. Eventually X36 and the dirty ballast train
came wrong line from Nunawading and sat on the down side of the
level crossing for about 10 minutes while P20 coupled to the front.
It then sat there for about another 15 minutes.
During this time a down spark bound for platform 2 ended up coming
into no 3 road and stopped rather quickly when seeing T396 there.
I don't know how it got passed the Home signal, but it did.

Then when the dirty ballast train was ready to go the next arrival
from FSS was shunted from platform 2 to the up line and back into
platform 1 (wrong line, no protecing home, not dwarf signal, flagman
etc...) and the dirty ballast train left via platform 2. (63 minutes
late)

The sleeper train after dropping off the sleepers returned to West
Tower about an hour early.

At about 7:00pm they had all the track down and attached to the
sleepers and they were connecting the down end to the old track.
The tamper and some ballast removing thingy were on the down line
starting to remove the down track.

The booms at Rooks road were down and a flagman was directing
traffic. At Mitcham road the boom had failed after the tamper
went through wrong line and police stopped the footy traffic.

All going well, stay turned for a repeat of today tomorrow.

Regards,
