I will go along with that.  I heard on ABC news early
hours this morning that the Demo's would be prepared to
drop the excise on trucks under eight tonnes if they
were for *_genuine_* primary producers.  They WOULD NOT
support any other excise exemptions for road.

This seems a very good idea as long as rail is exempt.

One other thing, Coaches and Buses MUST NOT be exempt
either because LNG is a reality, take away the diesel
excise and bye bye to alternate clean energy for the
bus fleets of Australia.

Just watch the Nationals yodel on this one.!
