Tonight, I made a phone call to V/Line about the service from Melbourne to
Warnambool and return.
Well, did I get a shock when the operator told me that the 5.05pm ex
Warnambool to Melbourne is steam hauled!
And the best part is it is run at standard V/Line fares!
I wounder if I will ever see our steam trains run at standard CityRail
fares?
Now there's something for the Thirlmere rail muesem and 3801 Limited to
think about.
