Re: WAGR Tank Engines



An Interesting aside:
The original 'U' class engines were a wartime design by a British supplier.
Virtually identical examples of the same design were supplied to Sudan
Railways, also to 3' 6".
I remember seeing photographs of abandoned 'U' class pacifics in a
mid-1980's 'Steam Railway' magazine.
AFAIK, they are still sitting in the desert air in Sudan.
