Alice to Darwin rail project conditions relaxed.

NT Railway Minister Barry Coulter has announced that
conditions for the three groups bidding for the lines
construction will be made more "flexible".  The final
submissions are due on the 31st of this month and this
will still apply, however a further two to three months
evaluation period will apply before the successful
bidder is announced.

The ARC has given the three bidders some additional
flexibility to meet the 33 conditions in place.
Mr Coulter added, should the successful bidder fail to
complete the **$2.2 billion** contract, one of the
other bidders would be given the opportunity.
