Just read the following claptrap on the GSR website:

Great Southern Railway’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Steve Bradford believes
the restoration of The Overland heralds a new era for one of the oldest rail
journeys in Australia. He said, "The extensive overhaul of the train, The
Overland, is expected to win back passengers from the airlines and bus
companies and secure the train’s long-term future."

Do they REALLY think they are going to regain airline passengers?
