Colourful Diesels in Tasmania
Sunday evening saw the most colourful lashup of diesels I've ever seen
on a Tasrail train. The paper train was headed by 2110 (the DOO-
modified Z class unit) and two other 2110 class engines in the Tasrail
AN "reverse" lemon yellow and green, hauling WC maroon and gold 2003,
Tranzrail blue 2102, Tasrail red and gold 2001 and 2002, and 36 loaded
paper wagons. All this colour travelling through the green Southern
Midlands hills was quite a sight.
It is normal practice for the locos from the Saturday morning train into
Hobart to return to Burnie by working light engine to Boyer where they
are coupled dead attached to the Sunday evening paper train from Boyer.
Cheers
Ben
