What are all the T lights if not tram only?

The flashing lights are for warning people in the area that trams are moving in
the depot area. Once they probably came on with actual movements but these days
they seem to be on all the time, certainly the ones at Brunswick are.

The digital display is the modern version of the chalk board showing the road
all run-in trams are to be stabled on. The display at Malvern Depot was provided
some six? months ago but appears to be unused, or at least last Saturday it was
dark. The depot starter came out an told each tram the road to run-in on. The
chalk board is still there but appears unused. Can someone supply them with some
chalk please.
