Not true. Quite apart from the fact that the original question related
to Victoria, your statements above are false even for Sydney. On signals
(which was the original context of the question) NS is north suburban;
North Shore is SH. There is no such thing as "Main local" and "main
suburban"; they are just local and suburban (L and S respectively).
