Re FV's new scheme

I'd say the graphics design people weren't told that the number plate
would be there.

No, leave the wings long.

Move the number plate up to behind the window as on X45 (which were
there to make way for the Brownbill nameplate).  No, Marinus, don't
drill any holes in the new paintwork just yet <g!>, just make a note
for X48 or 49 when they go in for repaint.

On the other hand, the numberplates on an A class are well out of the
way, so it's probably better to paint an A class next <g,d,r!!>

Just had a thought......if/when FV get VLP, paint the VLP locos in VLP
blue and gold with the same wings and logo as FV, but just Passenger
Victoria on the sides where Freight Victoria is written.  Elegant,
different but obviously all part of the same family.
