The main problem with the Campbelltown via East Hills line is that
Campbelltown fast and semi-fast services get stuck behind East Hills
local trains. This was due to be partly rectified by amplifying the
section from Turella to Kingsgrove by 2000 and Kingsgrove to Riverwood
several years later. Action for Transport 2010 shows that the target
opening date for the Turella to Kingsgrove is now 2003, and Kingsgrove
to Riverwood is now 2010! However, some earthworks do seem to be
happening, so maybe the extra two tracks will be open by 2000. Does
anyone know the correct target date?
