Re: No Express Service on CityRail compared to TransAdelaide

There are 24 stations from Cronulla to Central. Peak hour services stop at
14 or 58%.

Other lines with faster express services (non-intercity) are Campbelltown to
Central via East Hills with 23 stations. The fastest expresses stop at 9
stations or 39%.

Penrith to Central, 32 stations. The fastest express (again non-intercity)
stops at 5 stations or 16%. The other 7 fast expresses stop at 9 stations
or 28%.

All these trains are 8 cars, 800+ seats, 2,000 crush capacity.

Equally interestingly Sydney has far fewer all stations services that
limited express in the off-peak. The only all stations services from the
city are:

Lidcombe or Liverpool via Bankstown and Sydenham
Bankstown or Liverpool via Strathfield
North Shore
Eastern Suburbs.

Add to that:
Clyde - Carlinford Branch

East Hills and Mortdale locals each only skip 2 stations.
St Marys - Campbelltown (purely regional service) skips 3 stations.
Cronulla services skip 9 stations
Waterfall services skip 7 stations
Campbelltown via East Hills skip 10 stations
Campbelltown via Granville skip 10 or 11 stations
etc. etc.
