Re: ODD DESTINATIONS

Lets see if I can remember a ditty based on reading the QR timetable, and
I've been to many of the places. Apologies for any mispellings corrections
welcomed

To the tune of little brown jug......

There are places where one dines
On the Queensland railway lines
Private individuals
Also run refreshment stalls

Chorus:

Bogan-tugan, Marathon
Bundaberg and Rollingstone
Garthalungra, Pinkenba
Wambo-tambo (??) ha-ha-ha

Passeners they may have showers
While the train's at Charters Towers
At MacKay the rule prevails
Of restricting showers to the males

Chorus

Iron rations come in handy
On the way to Djirrinbandi
Passengers have died of hunger
On the way to Noarlunga( !?)

Chorus

Let us bless those in good part
Those who travel stout of heart
Drunk or sober, rain or shine
On a Queensland railway line.
