I think a lot of people are missing the point.
Yes, all readers in this newsgroup would have liked a show that was
about railway journeys and trains, and not some travel advertorial.

Unfortunately, such a program would not be attractive to TV execs
because such a program would not be attractive to advertisers  (who
ultimately finance the shows we see on TV). Hence we get the crappy
advertorial as described by the Canberra Times TV reviewer. Oh for the
days when we had a strong (and well funded !) national broadcaster
*sigh*
