Re: Batman Avenue Trams Finished!

The Z class trams had the back door(s) with pressure pads and the door
shut when there was no one on the steps and they had that button thingy
which said "press to open door" The front door had no pressure pad and
shunt when the driver shut it.
The two switches the drived had for the left door were:
One three position "All doors", "Closed" and "Rear Doors"
One two position switch for rear doors "Unlock" or "Open"

Unlock was the position they were normally set, and that was for the rear
door to shut when there was no one on the steps.

So when the tram stoped at the stop the driver would flick the switch to
"All Doors" and the front door would open. The rear door would open
only if the cord had benn pulled. or after the doors were "unlocked"
when some one pushed the button.

If people were getting off and noone getting on then the driver would
flick the switch to "Rear Doors"

The driver waited to the front door was clear and shut the doors, the
back doors looked after then selves.

Of Course that has all changed now to "all doors" or "front door" and
there are pressure pads on all doors (added to front) and the button
for the doors now does the same thing as the cord, and the light doesn't
work (expect in one of the Z3 trams) and the doors stay open until the
driver shuts them.
