Re: New Bundaberg Tilt train to commence.

It all depends on what would be called a 'reasonable' hour for an early
morning train departure. I am sure many in the community would not think
5:00am a reasonable hour, though you may disagree. History also indicates
that most trains, buses and planes on journeys of similar length leave in a
6:00am to 8:00am time zone. 6:00am or 6:30am departure from Bundaberg would
still give people the opportunity of day trip to Brisbane. Further the
people of Maryborough and Hervey Bay would also have a more acceptable time
of departure.

I don't think that having the train arrive before an evening meal time
should be an issue at all. The late afternoon Brisbane - Bundaberg service
runs through an evening meal time. The morning departure from Rockhampton
may be considered to cross two meal times (Breakfast & Lunch) on its journey
south. Having people arrive at a destination after the evening meal doesn't
seem to be an issue with Countrylink or Westrail.
