A few years ago, a mate used to be signalman at Broadmeadows and was
responsible for making PA announcements. Once I had popped in for a visit
and elected to help him with the PA. To blend in with the locals, I of
course used the local version of Italian English - at which point my mate
was aghast. "The friggin station staff will all kill me - they'll think I'm
havin a go at them"....
