There may be some confusion here between the "live" weight and "dead"
weight of locos, and possibly between metric tonnes and US short tons.

The NSW WTT shows the following weights:
                     Dead Weight                   Live Weight
                          Tonnes                           Tonnes
C class                 148                                   134
NR class              145                                   132
90 class                181                                  165

156.6 may well be US short tons.
