not enough information to go on. as an example if the crossing was fitted
with lights to warn the driver if they were working or not, in which case he
would have warning that the crossing had failed, and would be obliged to
stop.
Or if the (home) Signal was so close to the crossing that the trip could not
stop him, eg Springvale on the up.
etc etc
Anyway Railway Staff will now have to protect themselves now, the new
Companies dance to a new tune....BIG BUCKS!
