Fatal in Spencer Street

Hi there

A person was hit by a tram at the intersection of Spencer & Collins about
16h20, police in attendance by 16h25 and fire & ambulance by 16h30. The
remains of the person were deposited opposite Francis Street and also at
several other areas between Collins & Bourke Sts, suggesting the person was
dragged along the roadway. A B  class tram was shut down at the Bourke
Street stop. As at 17h00 there were many police and Yarra trams personnel on
the scene including the CEO and they were preparing to remove the remains at
about 17h10. Spencer St was closed to traffic between Flinders & Bourke Sts.
and Trams diverted or turned short.
