Steam and Olympic Park

According to my copy of "3801 News" which arrived today, there is a
private charter of 3830 from the Powerhouse Museum siding to Olympic
Park Station on Monday 26th July.

However, before the rail fan shutter-bugs get too excited and start
picking the best camera positions to catch the 38 smoking its way along
the Olympic Park loop line, the details of the charter reveal that
passengers will leave the 3830 hauled train at Homebush to board an
electric train for the trip to Olympic Park station.

Perhaps the station and its approach/departure tunnels are to be kept
clean and soot free for the Olympics.:-)
