Details are not quite clear, but a pedestrian was struck and killed by
a train early this morning (Tue, 13/07) at Nunawading. Buses were
substituted between Ringwood and Blackburn, throwing the peak hour into
chaos. Services are expected to resume at about 1000.
Apparently, the Maroondah Hwy was at a standstill as people tried to get
to work by car. It will be interesting to see if the peak services are
lightly loaded tonight!
