That would be Geelong Rd or Anakie Rd (the Horseshoe curve bridge?)

Dog Trap Gully Road, there used to be a half-mile post near here, 37.5
MP, I think.

I think this is about 63.8

I think Bank Box is 1650 metres?, therfore 65.5

The number makes it 71.3 from Flinders St (?), but don't remember the
Finders St-Spencer St distance... 1km?, call it 70.3

>Ballan 1018 (79.680km)

So, then we have:

place distance time elapsed speed	cumulative speed
		KM CLOCK DAYS(!) km/hr
BM 51.12 9:49 AM
HSB 56.45 9:54:00 0:05 64
DTGR 60.00 9:58:00 0:04 53
BBOX UP	63.8 10:03 0:05 46
BBOX DN	65.5 10:05 0:02 51
AUTO 70.3 10:10 0:05 58 55

Time in days because Excel does it that way, signif figures not
shgown, but they're there..

I figure the total mass was 477 tonnes/tons (R is 187?, 3BK, 2S, Z,
PCO?).

This very rough calculation (BM-Auto) gives a rail horsepower of about
2300, which would be a record for an R-class if true, almost up to a
38-class. When I refine the figures, I bet the HP goes down! But,
2300 more or less represents the increment expected on the basis of
oil-firing, Lempor exhaust and other "Wardaley" things. Usual max. HP
of a "standard" R class was about 1700.
