The proposed $10 billion VFT linking Melbourne and Darwin has secured the
support of its likely builders.
The Australasian Workers Union met yesterday and gave their full support.
Project could be finished by 2005. Feasability study underway.
Will also link Brisbane and Sydney on branches from rural route (Shepparton,
Parkes, Mt.Isa) for those who don't know about it already. Trains will
travel at speeds upto 300km/h, Melb - Darwin in 22hrs.
