SRA have nothing to do with it now, it is all RAC's equipment.
They don't have their own Earth Station.

When testing through satellite, there is a delay of no more than 2 seconds
from the time you speak to the time your voice is received at the other
end.(When testing from a train controller to a vehicle fitted out with all
the loco equipment parked about 3m away, so you can hear yourself and vice
versa) It makes a conversation slightly longer, but that is the only
drawback.
