Why is this argument continuing to compare the builders of the
diesels??

Pretty soon  [if the road transport lobby have their way] you will
have very few locos to look at! Than any loco will be admired!! Some
places in Australia are lucky to see any train, let alone a loco
hauled one so a loco is a loco no matter what diesel is inside it! All
that some people get to see is an XPT or suburban EMU / spark or
similar that looks the same every day and looks the same going and
coming!!

If it wasn't for NRR and their 421 and 49 class at Murwillumbah, all I
would have is the XPT at M'BAH and the suburbans /Interurbans at
Robina and until last year I didn't even have the Robina ones!
