I stand corrected, I am not a Herald Sun reader!

I saw the posts showing the references to Victrip. However, what have you
guys done on the stations and how far in advance and with what
'obviousness'? When I caught the train and buses yesterday, there was
nothing on the buses indicating there was a price rise (East West and
Dysons) apart from the bored monotone of the drivers telling passengers
offering the wrong fare that the prices had gone up yesterday.

At Lalor and Reservoir stations there was nothing apparent either.

Maybe the PTC either needs to look at how they introduce these things or
else if there is some form of station / tram / bus publicity implementation,
perhaps it needs to be more strictly implemented making sure the info goes
up at least a week in advance or in this case before commuters go away after
Christmas.

I am not sure that the whole of Melbourne's commuters and potential
commuters read the Herald Sun and even fewer would go to the Victrip news
page. Victrip should have had something on their main page indicating the
fares were changing, they have done this sort of thing before, even
announcing some service outages. Most of the current commuters use a bus or
tram or station so this would be a more effective means of advertising fare
changes which obviously hasn't been used or well implemented in this case.
