ABC news reports that trains are stranded in Townsville with the railway cut on both sides. The Bruce Highway is also cut with some road coaches and many trucks stranded. Cairns airport was closed until about 14.00 today, with domestic flights cancelled and internationals diverted to Darwin and Brisbane. Cheers David
