The line is rather circuitous, a more direct route to the Fish Markets could
have been achieved, but only through very expensive tunelling. Even if it were
viable to do this, the line would bypass the main catchment area, namely Star
City and the Pyrmont peninsula.

Nothing that increased speed limits (particularly in the street running area
and around stations) and sensibly phased traffic lights couldn't fix.
