Close to Christmas, I think, there was talk of constructing a rail/bus
interchange at Ararat station and this probably indicates a plan to
reinstate the BG from Ballarat.   Presumably, this means crossing the SG
main line at the up end in order to gain access to the old Portland line
dock which would be ideal for Sprinters.

This would also achieve removal of the present Ararat bus stop from it's
current location at a petrol shop.
