You were lucky it was only 28 - this week it has been 36.   28 is
very pleasant by comparison.     No, 28 in Adelaide IS very pleasant
being a dry heat.

Agreed!   And this very rough track is taken at quite a speed.

You notice it as soon as you clear the hills around Broken Hill.
The concrete sleepered track on the Sydney side of Bathurst is very
good but west of Bathurst ...
