Actually, most of the story is fiction..

there were 2 gantries demolished, not one. (The Up Departure Ganrty, and the one
directly outside Junee North Box - The one with the lowest clearance)

The platform (singular) was hit.. in the dock road.

Signals on both sides of the level crossing have been demolished and Flagmen are
in attendance (Friday Morning)
