They did a little better  than Triple M - one of their early reports said a
"good train"!  (This initially got me thinking - ballast? The late lamented
North Shore pick up goods?  ). Obviously any train that doesn't convey
passengers , and which had probably been described by Cityrail as "empty
cars", must therefore be a goods train - this is media logic at its best.

Someone mentioned the Daily Telecrap-h  - there is actually a very good
cartoon by Warren in today's edition , which was uncannily prophetic,
considering it was drawn before this mornings derailment.  It features a
"lost" Cityrail set , with "St Leonards" destination board, emerging from
the tunnel on the Eastern Distributor!

It doesn't appear on the News website - if anyone can scan it and post the
link, it's worth a look.
