Breaking News: [nsw] Waverton "back road" derailment

Heard on the radio this morning, a Tangarbage was being 'shunted' [sic]
into the Lavender Bar line siding at Waverton, and derailed, delaying all
trains on the NSL between Nth Sydney and Hornsby during the peak hour.

Wow, this makes an impressive list of Very recent CityRail adventures !!!:

* Derailment of G set at Homebush Bay;

* Glenbrook Collision(need i say more?);

* Diversion of 0957 to Lithgow onto Richmond line;

* Diversion of Hornsby service onto Waverton siding;

And now...
* Derailment of Tangarbage at Waverton.


What will they think of next???
