Top secret prototype XPT-II being tested at Thirmere by the perway
group addresses
most problems CountryLink have the existing XPT fleet. This prototype
is light, economical
to run, easy to repair, and doesnt have any capacity for complaints by
those pesky
passenger types by omitting any capacity to carry them.
It is however expected some modifications will have to be made to the
prototype
for crew comfort reasons. Various options are currently being tested.
The current
forced air-conditioning is a little to good for those chilly early
morning starts.
Nice one! Do they run in MU?
