The current news on the 4gt contract with Clyde is to build 40 N coded
non-control motors and 41 D coded driving trailers.

One spare driving car is provided in case of accident damage.

It is interesting that both Cityrail and Clyde have not updated the details
on their web page for many months.

An observation I've made regarding the 4gts is that the guards compartment
appears to be smaller than the Tangara's one. The driver's side window is
missing, the guard's door being in that position. This is probably to gain
an extra row of seats upstairs and downstairs.

How do the guards who have seen the mock-up feel about this reduction of
space?
