Re: Traveling on the XPT
[both relating to overnight services]
Sometime's first class can't be that much better... One return trip from
Sydney, in car C me and a friend were bothered by this person who was
keeping us awake by snoring lots. Not to mention the 3am baby change rush,
where the whole train is compelled to change their babies one after the
other in the electronic toilet in car C, obviously because it's bigger than
the rest. Other than that, I would have quite happily stayed up all night
but had to work the next day :(
On a trip to sydney just a month later I was in car B, and it was easier to
relax, and taking into consideration I got up 7am that day I didn't get to
sleep until we reached Gundagai, and woke up at Cootamundra... Was awake at
the boring part of the journey, and slept through the interesting bit, i.e.
Junee :-)

Michael
