In (I think) the railway by-laws, it states that a passenger boarding a
train is *required* (ie. legally) to be on the platform ready to board the
train *at least* 5 minutes before the tabled time of arrival of that train.
So regardless of whether a train is early or late, any passenger is by law
required to be 5 minutes early to the station. I use this quite frequently
when passengers bitch about being left behind when they run for a train
that's already a couple of minutes late. It's their own damn fault if they
miss a train in 99 percent of situations.

8-) There aretimes when trains are transposed to run early in order to clear
a platform, etc. for some reason. I've had it happen to me on a number of
occasions.

Craig.
