There has been a complete silence of late on the re-entry into traffic of
3801.
I guess it is about time the secrets were revealed!!!!

For those with a sharp eye, tomorrow might just be the day to look across to
the Large Erecting Shop as you pass by on a suburban train for a quick
glimpse. Be warned, you will definately need sun-glasses. The base coat has
been applied to most of the boiler and smoke box areas but the colour is
currently NOT green!!!

Be warned, NO PEDESTRIAN ENTRY is possible to the "Large" and unauthorised
persons will be removed by State Rail.

3801 is scheduled for light engine trials next week with a revenue sevice to
Newcastle on Sunday 29th. The final top coat will NOT be applied by then, so
keep the Kodachrome in the camera.
