SW 1187/99 alleges that between 2030 on Sat 7/8/99 and 0030 on Monday
9/8/99, General Motors Box will be abolished. Signals 3, 10, 11 & 13;
Points 4, 7 & 8; and Plungers 5 & 6 will be abolished. Down Home 14 will
be converted to Auto D1097, Up Home 2 converted to Auto D1098. D1098
controlled by 5P (not a V5P?) keyswitch & remains interlocked with Xing at
Progress St.
Same circular also states that track work will be undertaken at Webster St,
Sth Gippsland Hwy, Progress St & Hallam Rd Xings, requiring the flashing
light equipment to be "temporarily removed". What does this mean? Will
the Flashing lights be physically removed? (for trackwork, I don't think
so). Does it mean the fuses will be pulled & booms latched? (Disabled or
isolated would have been better wording).
