I heard it was costing too much to update the fronts of the V sets so for
the last lot of refurbishments, they just fixed up the interiors (Carpets
and paint).

However more money has just been set aside for the V sets to be refurbished,
so maybe all of them will get indicators.

Although, what is the point of having indicators if they are not in use or
useable 100% of the time.

A lot of trains on the Illawarra line have the Bondi end's indicator saying
Bondi Junction all the time, no matter which way they are going. This would
be confusing to irregular users or tourists.

When I've been overseas, I've relied on these indicators. I'd hate to be a
tourist trying to use our system.
