New Fares in NSW

Good to see that the N.S.W. Government announced today that rail and
government bus fars are going to rise by anything up to 35%. Isn't it
strange how they didn't announce it before the election a month ago??

They had all the 'usual' excuses on the news - there are some very expensive
improvements coming up, but of course the minister didn't bother to say what
those improvements might be.

As usual, the government on one hand tries to tell us to use public
transport, yet increases the fares and, as is more often the case, decreases
the service.
